Acme Creek Kennels is proud to be a breeder of Labradoodles and Labrador Retrievers. At Acme Creek Kennels we take great pride in our breeding programs.  We strive to produce the best possible Labradoodles and Labrador Retrievers that would be the perfect match for your family. We are a small kennel located just outside Traverse City in a small town named Williamsburg, in Northern Michigan. 

 Labradoodles are fun loving family pets, that have clown type personalities that are sure to bring a lifetime of smiles and laughter to your family for years.  Labradoodles have many advantages, they are very smart making them easy and fun to train, love to play hard and long, but at the end of playtime like to lay at your feet and relax.  Labradoodles are also a low shedding breed. The first generation (F1) which is one parent is a Labrador Retriever and the other parent is a Standard Poodle, will shed to varying degrees (check out the Coat type page).  The important thing to remember is that the F1 will shed.  The second generation (F1B, first generation breed back) where one parent is a Labradoodle and the other parent is a Standard Poodle will shed very little to no shedding (check out the Coat type page).  You just need to decide it a little bit of shedding is okay with a F1 or if a little bit of grooming is okay with a F1B   It is important to remember that shedding will very and is dependent on factors like generation, diet and exercise.

 Labrador Retrievers speak for themselves. The number one breed in the United States is a hit due to the friendly manor and desire to please his owner. We will not try to sway you to one breed or the other. You will know which one is right for you!

What sets Acme Creek Labradoodles and Labradors apart is the fact that our breeding program is run by a Licensed Veterinary Technician (Carol) who has been breeding for 20 years. The socialization program coupled with the careful selection of parents sets us apart.! Our breeding dogs are selected to meet the standards for both the Labrador Retriever (English style) and the Standard Poodle to produce the best possible labradoodle that we can.
